mad mex burrito
my little breakfast fail led to a rapidly escalating hanger attack, so i was pretty excited to be meeting up with some people at the newish max mex at southern cross tower in the city (because food).
i told the server i wanted a vegetarian dairy-free burrito without rice (just don’t like rice in my burrito, okay?!) and they were really quick and good at making that happen. points for quickness. then i paid them $10.90 because that’s how much an adult sized burrito costs now apparently. which seems like a lot of money? but whatever.
the burrito was fine. it filled a hole inside me that needed filling. i’m not mad about the eggplant filling thing you get if you’re a vegetarian, it’s … just extra stuff. i am a big fan of the free guac you get if you get a vegetarian thing but that is pretty standard now and also its almost $11 for vegetables. also i ordered the medium hot sauce inside it and they must have meant medium hot FOR BABIES because i couldn’t even taste it.
SO, IDK. it’s great that its so easy to get vegan fast food and all but i’m not really on board with the super enthusiastic reviews i have read about it.
rating: 2 out of a possible 5 vegetarian dairy-free burritos.
